REVEALED: Why Police Arrested Morara Kebaso

REVEALED: Why Police Arrested Morara Kebaso: Lawyer-turned-activist Morara Kebaso was on Tuesday arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi hours after being arrested by detectives at his office in Kahawa Sukari.

During the court proceedings, the prosecution preferred several charges against the activist including cyber harassment contrary to Section 27 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Act.

The prosecution on September 28, 2024 stated that Morara Kebaso alongside his accomplices allegedly posted false information about David Langat.

“David Morara Kebaso alias Morara Kebaso Snr on the 28th day of September 2024 at an unknown place within the Republic of Kenya, jointly with others not before the court, while using the X Corp Account dubbed; @MoraraKebasoSnr, knowingly without lawful excuse, posted false information to wit…” the charge sheet read in part.
