Former DP Gachagua Fires Warning To Ruto
Former DP Gachagua Fires Warning To Ruto, highlighting that the Mt Kenya region, will not forget what he did or how the impeachment against him was plotted.
Gachagua was speaking on Sunday, October 27 at a church service at Saint James ACK Cathedral in Kiambu County, where he disclosed that he would open up on everything that transpired when the time was right.
“We forgive but we don’t forget. I’ve heard people saying that 3 years is a lot of time that by 2027, people will have forgotten. Even the atrocities meted on us by the white man, the pain we suffered under President Moi, we still remember. When the time is right, we will address the issue at hand. But at the moment, we will keep quiet,” he stated
He however, outlined several aspects of the current State of the Nation and urged Kenyans to pray for the Head of State who he believes has a tough road ahead of him.
“I want to ask Kenyans to pray for President Ruto to give him wisdom to navigate the challenges affecting Kenyans,” Gachagua stated.
The ousted DP proceeded to name a number of key sectors in the country which Kenyans have been expressed or rather complained as he called on the President to correct them.
He stated,”Our people are feeling helpless because of economic adversities, over-taxation, failing health systems and the President has a big job to do. We pray for God to give him wisdom so the people of Kenya can get some relief when they go about their business.”
Gachagua’s political future is currently fighting for its life with his only hopes of saving his Deputy Presidency lying with the case in high court.
Recently, President Ruto appeared to hint at why he fell out with Gachagua as he sent out a strong message condemning what he termed as ‘divisive politics’.
Ruto stated,“We don’t have any business with leaders dividing Kenyans based on ethnic lines. I formed a government to unite all Kenyans. Was that a mistake? There are people who are angry because I appointed Beatrice Askul as a CS.”
