Ruto Appoints Millicent Omanga’s Replacement in the newly formed Nairobi Rivers Commission after she rejected the appointment made on October 25.
In a special gazette notice on October 28, President Ruto appointed Josephat Sagero to the position and announced the revocation of Omanga’s appointment.
“In exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Constitution and the Laws of the Republic of Kenya, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint Josephat Abaga Fan Sagero to be a member of the Nairobi Rivers Commission, for a term of three (3) years renewable once based on performance,” part of the notice read.
“The appointment of Omanga Millicent is revoked pursuant to section 51 of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act.”
The commission will be chaired by former Starehe Member of Parliament Bishop Margaret Wanjiru.
Members include; Mumo Musuva, Grace Senewa Mesopirr, John Kioli, Eva Muhia, Amos Chege Mugo, Carlotta Dalago, Rael Chebichii Lelei, Benjamin Langwen, and Charles Karisa Dadu.
