More Details Emerge on Murder of 19yr Old Whose Body Was Found Dismembered in Kiambaa
Police are investigating another femicide case involving a 19-year-old teen whose badly mutilated body was discovered outside their house on Friday, November 8, in Kiambaa, Kiambu County.
The victim, Sharon Atieno, also known as Nicole, is reported to have taken a stroll outside her house in Kiambaa at night to make a call but failed to return
According to her roommate, she left on Thursday night after informing her (the roommate) that she wanted to get some fresh air and make a call.
“That day, she just left at night and I even decided to ask her boss (the next day) if she had reported to the workplace only for the boss to tell me that Nicole did not show up,’’ Charlotte Vudembo, the friend, told the media.
The next time she saw her missing friend was in a banana plantation in Gacheru, with her body badly mutilated.
The friend revealed that the deceased was taking a stroll to cool off her emotions as her late mother’s anniversary was nearing.
“She used to tell me that at this particular time of the year, it is always hard for her as it coincides with her mum’s death anniversary,’’ Vudembo added.
Fredrick Njiraini Kimani, the owner of the farm where the body was discovered, told the press that he was going around his normal routine at his farm when he stumbled upon the lifeless body.
When I came to check, I discovered a female body that was completely lifeless as she had been killed,’’ Njirani narrated.
Police are investigating the death through her last communication leads including her mobile money transactions.
”We are analysing forensically the cellphone, communication, and other investigation leads. At the moment we are not yet done, consider the matter to be under active investigation,’’ a senior police officer from the region, Pius Mwanthi, revealed.
