Outrage As Pastor’s Home Raided by DCI Officers in Viral Video
A senior pastor has raised concerns about his safety after men claiming to be Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers invaded his home in Ruiru in a bid to arrest him.
Eliud Ng’ang’a, a senior engineer with Kenya Power Company and a preacher, believes the attempt to arrest him could be related to a sermon he delivered criticizing the Kenya Kwanza government.
The arrest however, didn’t go as allegedly planned, after neighbours stepped out to see what was happening to one of their own
According to CCTV footage, Pastor Eliud Ng’ang’a could be heard arguing with men claiming to be officers from the DCI at around 11 p.m.
In the video, Ng’ang’a insists on wanting to know the identity of six armed men who had parked a double-cab pickup and a station wagon outside his home.
In another clip, two men who were part of the team were seen jumping over the fence minutes after they had assessed the compound.
The men could be seen conversing after they realised that the pastor was adamant about identifying themselves.
Minutes later, Ng’ang’a left the house and could be seen arguing with the men. There was a confrontation, and his son was seen rushing to the gate.
It was at this time that the team received a call from an unknown person, and they called off their mission.
