Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya Declares His 2027 Presidential Bid
Trans-Nzoia County Governor George Natembeya has announced interest in the presidency seat days after Busia County Senator, Okiya Omtatah, confirmed he’s running for presidency.
Speaking to the press, Natembeya, who is also the Democratic Action Party leader, revealed that he will run for the seat once he completes his term as Trans-Nzoia Governor.
The governor revealed that he will offer a fresh alternative and practical leadership to better the lives of Kenyans.
Natembeya whose eyes are now fixed on the top seat added that he will run on a platform of accountability and proactive leadership.
He further dismissed claims that he is seeking a presidential running mate position.
Natembeya spoke days after he was linked to a mega alliance that is being hatched by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, and former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa.
