24 yr Old KMTC Student Stabbed To Death By Girlfriend, Police Ask Girl To Surrender
A student attached at the Kenya Medical Training College in Kitale was stabbed and killed in a suspected fight with his girlfriend in their house.
According to the Police, the assailant is missing after the murder incident on Sunday, December 1 in the Huruma area.
The deceased who has since been identified as Benedict Kiptoo was a clinical medicine student at the college.
He was stabbed once in the chest at his residence in the area after a fight with his girlfriend, his neighbours told police.
According to neighbours, they heard commotion from the house he stayed with the suspected assailant and on checking they found him lying in a pool of blood and wreathing in pain.
The man was bleeding profusely which forced him to rush him to a nearby hospital. Kiptoo died while being taken to hospital.
The body was taken to Cherengany Hospital Mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
Police who visited the scene recovered a kitchen knife that was used in the attack. The team said they had established the two lived as lovers. They had argued after Kiptoo allegedly came home late leading to the fatal stabbing.
Efforts to trace the woman for grilling and possible arraignment are ongoing. Police are therefore asking her to surrender for processing.
