40 People in Critical Condition After Road Crash Along Major Highway
At least 40 people are nursing critical injuries following a road accident that occurred in the Mwisho wa Lami area in Mau Narok, Nakuru County.
The accident happened after two lorries travelling in opposite directions were involved in a head-on collision, injuring several people, including pedestrians.
Speaking on the incident was Kenya Red Cross Society who announced that it had dispatched a rescue team to assist in retrieving those trapped in the wreckage
This happens days after seven people succumbed after they were involved in a road accident at the Maltauro stretch on the Narok-Nairobi highway.
The accident that took place on Monday, December 23, happened after six vehicles and a motorcycle crashed into each other, killing several people on the spot.
The accident occurred when a trailer travelling from Narok towards Mai Mahiu suffered a tyre burst and lost control, ramming into a Toyota Premio, an Ena Coach bus and a matatu. Shortly after, a second trailer, also travelling from Narok rammed into other vehicles stalled at the same scene.
