Netizens were Tuesday night, Angry after a section of students from St. Anne’s Girls Secondary School, located along Jogoo Road in Nairobi, were forced to spend a part of the night outside in the cold.
Reportedly, the school principal had barred the girls from accessing the school compound over fee arrears.
This happens despite the Ministry of Education’s assurance to parents and subsequent directive to principals not to send students home over school fee arrears.
In a video making rounds on social media, the students who were left to camp outside the main school gate revealed that some of them were sent away as early as 10 am.

The students were only allowed inside the school after the intervention of Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa who sent a team to assess the situation, following the Viral Video.
“Following reports that some students at St. Anne’s Girls Secondary School were left stranded outside the premises, I immediately dispatched my team to assess the situation,” Aladwa stated.
”I have since instructed the school management to grant access to the students, and I am pleased to confirm that the situation has now been resolved, with all students safely inside the school,” he added.
