Students, Parents and teachers of Lugulu Girls’ School in Bungoma are in utmost shock following the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC)’s decision to withhold the school’s 2024 KCSE results.
The unexpected news for the Lugulu Girls’ community, an academic giant, has raised eyebrows, as the school scored an impressive mean grade of 9.328, with one A plain, 63 A-, and several other quality grades in 2023.
Western Region Director of Education, Jared Obiero, also confirmed the withholding of the school’s results where he explained that the results were under review and had not yet been approved or rejected.
The school principal has since called for patience from the 2024 KCSE candidates and their parents as they follow up the results through the official appeal channels with the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
Echoeing her sentiments was Obiero, who stated that this was part of the normal procedure, urging patience from concerned parties.
“The results were pended, and we are sorting out the matter. Let there be no cause for alarm. The results will be out soon,” stated Obiero.
“This usually happens for a number of reasons, including missing information or errors. We call for patience as we pursue this case,” he added.
