The Migori Public Service Board has fired 181 county workers from various positions in the County Government.
In a Gazette Notice, the Board revealed that most of the staff were retrenched from the Center for International Health Education and Biosecurity (CIHEB) department.
However, only 319 were renewed while the other 91 were let go after reviewing several parameters including; Staff performance appraisal, relevant academic documents, relevant registration, valid licenses, Diversity of the county and gender parity issues.
This overhaul came a few months after 58 staff were recruited in the department to assist in the management of the HIV pandemic in May.
Another massive firing of 86 employees occurred after a crackdown revealed they had been using fake academic documents.
The last four were fired following separate reports from the County Human Resource Management Advisory Committee (CHRMAC).
