A fleet of trucks transporting newly acquired Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) vehicles on Wednesday spotted plying along Mombasa road.
The long queue of flatbed trucks was seen at Mlolongo, Machakos, on their way to Nairobi causing a traffic jam on the busy road.
Pictures that have circulated online depicted tens of trucks neatly arranged in one long queue like a procession cruising nicely alongside other motorists.
However, The police lorries that were mounted on the flatbed trucks were destined for an undisclosed location
The military vehicles being transported were mixed including 6-wheeled trucks and water trucks.
Relevant security agencies had not yet shared further details about the transport of the tracks. However, the Kenya Defense Forces regularly updates and maintains its fleet to ensure operational readiness
Kenyans took to the internet to express their thoughts about the procession which is a rare occurrence.
In most cases, notices are always issued when a company wants to transport heavy metallic or steel objects such as boats, ships, planes, military equipment, and bulky construction equipment.
