Police officers based in Nairobi’s Huruma Estate on Tuesday, January 21, arrested a 29-year-old man over the alleged murder of his 19-year-old wife.
A police report detailed that the suspect was arrested within the Kelly Towers area while carrying a bag on his back. Upon searching, the officers found human body parts stashed inside the bag.
During the interrogation, the suspect confessed that the body parts belonged to his deceased wife, which prompted the officers to visit the suspect’s house for further interrogation.
While conducting the investigations, the officers reportedly found more dismembered parts of a human body beneath the suspect’s bed.
The officers also recovered a blood-stained kitchen knife suspected to have been the weapon used to end the woman’s life and female clothes which the police believed belonged to the deceased.
The officers further revealed that they also found the floor of the suspect’s house with stains of blood.
The victim’s body parts have since been moved to Nairobi City Mortuary awaiting identification and a postmortem analysis
According to the officers, the motive of the murder is yet to be established. However, the suspect is currently under police custody awaiting arraignment.
