Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii has reshuffled his cabinet and sent on compulsory leave nine top officers of the county.
The governor stated that the compulsory leave wa necessary having reviewed their performance and the need to carry out a thorough staff appraisal.
In the changes, Elijah Kosgey will now be executive for education having been moved from public service while Dr Sam Kotut has been moved from environment to Agriculture.
Edward Sawe has been moved from agriculture to lands while Anthony Sitienei has been moved to water from education
Bii appointed Johnstonne Kotut as economic advisor and Dr Pius Kiplimo as Chief of staff.
This follows a meeting at the county headquarters where he urged residents to ignore increased political propaganda in the region.
Echoeing his words was the Deputy Governor Evans Kapkea, who commended the governor for ignoring what he termed as “cheap politics”.
