The head of state William Ruto held a telephone conversation with United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday night.
According to Ruto, the discussed a number of issues including trade and investment partnerships, the Kenyan-led Haiti mission and bolstering peace and security.
Regarding the Haiti mission, Ruto revealed that they agreed to have a joint strategy to ensure the mission serves its purpose of restoring calm in the Caribbean nation.
Ruto also kept Secretary Rubio abreast with the security situation in Sudan, South Sudan and Somalia where long-running chaos have been witnessed.
