Senior government officials reportedly snubbed an event graced by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro to open a modern Assistant County Commissioner’s office in Mjini, Kiharu Constituency on orders from above.
The event took place on Wednesday, March 19 where senior government officials, including the County Commissioner, Assistant County Commissioners, and Chiefs, were notably absent.
According to reports, local administrators and police officers were instructed not to attend the event leaving the MP, who was the former chairperson of the Budget and Appropriations Committee in the National Assembly, alone
Nyoro however, unveiled the modern facility, which was constructed using funds from the National Government-Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF).
The Township ACC’s Office hosts the Chief’s Office, Assistant Chief’s Office, Civil Registration, and Land’s Board among others. It also provides a Hall to be installed and equipped with Computers for Community use.
The absence of senior government officials, including the County Commissioner, Assistant County Commissioners, and chiefs, drew attention to the political state surrounding the member of parliament.
The happens barely a day after the Kiharu MP held a presser speaking publicly for the first time since he was removed from the powerful Budget Committee.
