Things have taken a turn as Jalango wins Langata Member of parliament seat.
Nixon Korir took to his social media to announce his defeat. He thanked the people of Langata for the support they offered him throughout the 5 years. He reminded them that its been a pleasure serving in that capacity for all those years in building the nation or rather propelling Langata constituency forward.
General Korir further urged the people of Langata to support and allow Jalango to fulfill his roles as their leader.
Nixon said, “To the people of Langata, I sincerely thank you for according me an opportunity to be your Member of parliament for the last 5 years. Its been a great opportunity that gave an avenue to contribute to our nation building and service to the people. From the results that we tallied at the Generali centre, my competitor Jalango has a lead and I want to congratulate his as he prepares to take the mantle and move Langata forward.”
According to the constitution of Kenya, a member of parliament is supposed to represent his people in the National Assembly.
Representing people in the National Assembly consists of airing their grievances and acting in their best interest. A manifesto that will ensure jobs, infrastructure and education services to all residents in Langata.
Following this, netizens have took to their social media accounts to express how they feel about the Jalango’s win.
Jalango was contesting for the member of parliament seat in Langata constituency, Nairobi county under the Azimio la Umoja coalition One kenya.
Nixon Korir went ahead to advocate for peace as elections are underway. He said that elections will end and life will continue as usual.
He further prayed for Langata, for God to bless the same constituency.
