Azimio la Umoja deputy, Martha Karua has responded to critics who ridiculed her after Raila Odinga her principal, lost in her constituency.
Martha Karua who is Raila Odinga’s deputy took to her social media account to respond to netizens who were coming at her.
She said, “Will always go with my heart! It’s not done till it’s done.”
According to the independent electoral and boundaries commission, in Mugumo primary school, Gichugu, Kirinyaga county, William Ruto garnered 911 votes which equates to two thirds of the votes.
Azimio la Umoja one Kenya which was the supposed stronghold, got 311 votes only.
The criticism comes after Martha Karua was expected to gather votes for her principal Martha Karua.
The critics further mentioned her as supporting the leader even when she was against the BBI project. A statement she did not respond to.
The founder of NARC Kenya,Martha Karua, however congratulated some of the candidates who have won themselves the seats they were contesting for.
This includes Naisula Lesuuda who won a parliamentary seat in Samburu west under the Azimio La Umoja one Kenya.
In accordance to delivering votes, netizens also have ridiculed President Uhuru Kenyatta for not garnering expected votes for Azimio la Umoja leader, Raila Odinga in the central region.
Despite president Uhuru kenyatta endorsing Raila Odinga publicly as his presidential candidate of choice, people from his region failed to deliver.
In Uhuru Kenyatta’s region, Ruto scored over 70% of the voted which equated to 983 votes as Raila odinga got 479 votes which equates to 30 per cent.
Uhuru Kenyatta however, spoke on the issue of BBI saying it was a good agenda despite it being rejected.
He said, “My people in Mt Kenya were duped to believe that my plan to bring the one man one shilling ruling was about me. They were told to hate me but now I will be hanging out with my grandkids while the problem remains unresolved.”
