The 2022 election, two major political coalitions that’s, Kenya Kwanza and Azimio la Umoja had their principals who were vying for different seats.
Some results have trickled in , others have won while other floored
Among them is Moses Wetangula of Kenya Kwanza. He was vying for the Bungoma senatorial seat.
The independent electoral and boundaries commission announced Moses Wetangula as the new senator elect of Bungoma county.
Mwangi Kiunjuri also won the Laikipia east parliamentary seat.
According to Kenyans.co.ke media , Kiunjuri assured his people that he is ready to work in his capacity with any president elect.
He said,”Let us work together and wait for the presidential results. Whoever wins, we will support them. We need peace as a country because it is the most important thing. It is not about who is elected, it is about the people of Kenya.”
Gideon Moi also lost the Baringo senatorial seat. This is after the United Democratic Alliance’s Wiliam Cheptumo won the elections with a total of 141,777 votes.
Wafula wamunyinyi also lost the Kanduyi Constituency parliamentary seat. Wafula was vying under the Azimio la Umoja coalition, specifically DAP-K party.
Junet Mohammed of Azimio La umoja coalition, also won the election. Junet was vying for the Lamu East Constituency parliamentary seat.
Boni Khalwale of Kenya kwanza, won the kakamega senatorial seat . Khalwale expressed his hope and faith of taking Kakamega County forward.
Ann Waiguru of United Democratic Alliance in Kenya Kwanza also emerged as the winner in Kirinyaga county gubernatorial seat.
Hon. Waiguru was in a neck to neck battle with Wangui Ngirici of Azimio la Umoja coalition.
Farah Maalim , who is the former national assembly speaker, under the wiper party, won a parliamentary seat.
James Orengo , a very strong Ally of Azimio la Umoja, won the Gubernatorial seat in Siaya County. Hon. Orengo was vying under the orange democratic movement.
