William Ruto has been declared as the fifth president president of Kenya.
Wafula Chebukati announced that this will be the last election he will be presiding over the general elections in Kenya
Chebukati announced that william Ruto had surpassed the 50%+1 mark by garnering majority of the votes.
He went ahead to thank his staff who were with him. He stated that they have underwent intimidation throughout the exercise but they endured that.
He stated that elections was free and fair, and the whole process was credible as per the constitution of Kenya.
He went ahead to declare William Samoei Ruto of Kenya kwanza as the next president of Kenya, and that was the choice of the people of Kenya.
President William had thanked the people who believed in him. He stated that he is ready to push this country forward.
President Ruto went ahead to urge the religious leaders to pray for the country Kenya.
He further Thanked his worthy deputy, Rigathi Gachagua for the kind of support and sacrifices he offered him during the country.
“Together to serve the peope of Kenya” Is the word that President William Ruto has promised Kenya
He further said that he will work effortlessly to ensure moves forward.
He said,”I will work hard to make sure this nation moves to the next arena.”
The nation is still awaiting for Raila Odinga to speak regarding the results. Earlier , his agents had disputed the results saying the system was hacked into.
The independent electoral and boundaries commission deputy, Julian Cherera and other four commissioners from the electoral committee also stated that she will not be part of the results that will be announced today.
She said that the process was not free and fair and credible as expected. She described the process as opaque.
