Members of parliament elect with court cases;the 13th parliament will have members of have had court cases before.
The following members of parliament have been involved in cases with the authorities.
This includes;
Didmus Barasa
It was alledged that the Kimilili constituency member of parliament, shot and killed his opponent’s aide. An allegation he denied saying that many people had guns and anyone could have shot the young.
He however stated that he is willing to work with the authorities to know what and who killed the young Man, Brian Olunga.
Babu Owino
It was alledged that Hon. Babu Owino, member of parliament elect, Embakasi east shot a Dj by the name Dj Evolve. The incident which was heard in court left Dj evolve in a wheel chair
Daniel Manduku
The Nyaribari Masaba constituency member of parliament elect, who was elected under the orange democratic movement was faced with a case with the Kenya ports Authority.
Allan Chesang
Honourable Allan Chesang of Trans Nzoia,was facing the court with an alledged fake laptop tender in the year 2018. This was during the Uhuruto regime , the laptops were supposed to be supplied to primary schools, indorder to facilitate electronic learning ( E-Learning).
The trial that is still ongoing at Milimani law courts charged the Member of parliament with fraud and forgery.
Other members of parliament who are facing charges in court are, Oscar Sudi , the member of parliament, Kapseret Constituency. Oscar Sudi was elected under the United Democratic Alliance party.
Another member of parliament is Silvanus Osoro. He is the member of parliament elect, South Mugirango constituency. He was also elected under the United Democratic Alliance.
John Waluke, member of parliament elect, Sirisia constituency is also facing charges. He was re-elected under the United Democratic Alliance party.
James Gakuya the Member of parliament, Embakasi North, also has a pending case in court.
