Azimio la Umoja leader, Raila calls for calm ahead of the anticipated petition verdict on 5th September 2022.
Raila together with his deputy, Martha Karua on sunday met up with leaders from Mount Kenya.
He stated,”Mt Kenya East it has been today. Bonding conversations, strengthening grassroots, building our One Kenya. Martha and I also took the opportunity to thank Ameru for their support and the votes they gave us.
ODM leader also stated that he’s hoping the justices will render a justifiable verdict.
He said,”Kenyans should continue to have us in their prayers, we pray for peace and wisdom. We hope that the Supreme Court will deliver a fair ruling which will help us to strengthen the democracy in the country.”
He further stated that he has faith that the judges will make a fair and credible ruling.
He said,”I believe that our judges are people who are learned, qualified and are fair and therefore will deliver a just ruling.”
The Azimio la Umoja deputy also thanked everyone who supported and represented them during their petition.
She said,”The Women and Men who worked tirelessly and selflessly in representation of The People to defend the Truth and uphold Justice. Asanteni Counsels.

This comes after Kenya kwanza leader, William Ruto stated that he will also respect the ruling from the supreme court of Kenya.
William stated,”Tomorrow the Supreme Court will give its verdict. We will respect the ruling because there is no Kenyan who is smaller than the other.”
He further said that he is sure that the judges will approve his victory as announced by the independent electoral and boundaries commission chairman, Wafula Chebukati.
