No handshake states president elect William elect.
The supreme court of Kenya has today upheld the presidential results.
President elect William Ruto addressed the nation shortly after the ruling.
He thanked Kenyans for believing in him and has promised to deliver as he stated in the manifesto.
Hon. William Ruto has however, stated there will be no handshake with the opposition.
He stated that the opposition is free to execute its roles as mandated by the constitution.
He recalls during his reign together with president Uhuru as a mongrel of a government where there’s no difference between the opposition and executive.
Ruto stated,” I will not tolerate handshakes. A Mongrel of a government where you do not know who the executive or opposition is.”
Ruto however said that he congratulates his worthy opponent, Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga and he promised to reach out to him to see how they will work together.

Hon. William Ruto has assured that he will treat everyone equally regardless of their political affiliation. His promise is to serve Kenyans as the constitution expects of him.
He also revealed that it’s been months since he talked to president Uhuru Kenyatta. He however promised to reach out to him and come up with a smooth transition.
This comes after Azimio la Umoja leader also issued his conceding message to Kenyans.
He said,”We have always stood for the the rule of law and the constitution.In this regard, we respect the opinion of the court although we vehemently disagree with their decision today.”
Raila further said,” The judgement is by no means the end of our movement, in fact it inspires us to redouble our efforts to transform this country in a prosperous democracy where each and every Kenya can find their full belonging.”
