Reactions to Najib Balala asking Ruto for a job.
On friday, september 9, Najib Balala took it to his social media handles to confess that he is ready to work in whatever capacity, in the president elect’ s new government.
He said,” I am happy and humbled and I thank President Uhuru Kenyatta for giving me the chance to serve the nation. I welcome President Ruto and I am ready to serve in his government whenever it’s necessary.”
Najib Balala further reprimanded the four commissioners( Juliana Cherere, Irene Masit, Justus Nyang’aya and Francis Wanderi) for almost putting the country in chaos.
He stated that the four should be brought to book for what they did. This comes after Balala supported Azimio la Umoja in their presidential petition.
He said,”The likes of team Cherera must be brought to book. It is not vengeance but order in the public interest.”
However, Kenyans shared mixed reactions to Najib Balala asking Ruto for a job.
Oscar Sudi, Kapseret member of parliament shared a video of Najib Balala mocking Ruto and his camp, Kenya kwanza.
Oscar wrote,” Lest we forget.”
Miguna Miguna also shared his sentiments stating that Najib Balala should go home and leave his job for unemployed youths.

Najib Balala has been serving in the ministry of tourism for 15 years as the cabinet secretary, in both Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime.
Miguna said,”To my friend Balala, you are not the only Kenyan who was born to serve as cabinet secretary for tourism. You have held that position for more than 15 years. That’s enough. Move on. Retire. Find something else to do. There are 35 million unemployed Kenyans.”
However, some Kenyans supported that Balala indeed deserves a seat at Ruto’s government. During campaigns, he did not show any party preferences.
Other Kenyans added that, Balala is loyal to the government he is working for and not any political party.
