Matiang’i on spot as Miguna receives his new passport.
Interior cabinet secretary Matiang’i on spot as lawmaker Miguna Miguna receives his new passport.
After President Wiliam Ruto’s inauguration, Miguna Miguna took to his twitter account to announce the president Ruto had lifted bans and he will travel to his motherland as soon as he received his passport.
Miguna Miguna was exiled from the country five years ago after he went ahead to swear in Raila Odinga after he lost in the 2017 presidential elections, thereby committing treason.

Kenya kwanza allies now want the interior cabinet secretary, Fred Matiang’i to pay law maker Miguna Miguna.
Lawyer Nelson Havi stated that the CS Matiang’i and the directorate of criminal investigations should pay the law maker because of the multiple times they ignored the court order to allow the return of Miguna Miguna.
Havi said,”Another big score for the rule of law. The decree for the payment of damages of Ksh7 million by Matiangi, Gordon Kihalangwa and George Kinoti jointly and severally should now be enforced against the three.”
This comes after president Ruto delivered his promise to Miguna Miguna of giving him a passport back to the country.
President Ruto said,”We will bring back Miguna Miguna in the country within the shortest time possible. He is a Kenyan and even if he has committed a crime, we have laws in place that he would be tried against.”
Miguna Miguna shared a photo of his new passport thanking president William Ruto for the favour he granted him.
Miguna said,” 1687 days after Uhuru, Raila, Matiang’i, Kibicho, and Kihalangwa conspired to seize and destroy my passport, Ruto delivered a new one to me. Waiting for the lifting of the red alerts. I didn’t have to sign the forms they were speaking about.”
