President Ruto mocks Uhuru and Raila as he opens the 13th parliament.
Today, The president of Kenya opened the 13th parliament.
During the opening, President Ruto mocks Uhuru, the former president and the opposition leader Raila Odinga.
President stated that he laughed last but laughed best. He was intimidated after the handshake bwtween Uhuru and Raila but he has rose to be the president of a country.
Ruto further stated that the handshake resulted to a mongrel of a government where the opposition took his place in the government.
President said,” In summary, and this, by the way, only happens in Kenya. The sitting Deputy President became the candidate of the opposition and the leader of the opposition became the candidate of government.
“As things would be, the opposition candidate won the election and became president and the president became the leader of the opposition party. That is the beauty of our democracy.” President Ruto added.
The president has promised to work with the parliamentarians, to make sure every need of every Kenyan is met.
President said,”We are committed to serving all Kenyans in all wards of each constituency and all counties in every region throughout Kenya. After all, we all serve the same boss, the people and their sovereign interests are our operating principle and purpose.”
