Nairobi court blocks president’s order to hire 21 CASs.
Disappointment to job hunters as Nairobi court blocks president’s order to 21 Chief Administrative secretaries.
According to reports on Wednesday, 13th, Labour Relations Court suspended the Public Service Commission (PSC) drive to fill 21 Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) positions under the guidance of president William Samoei Ruto.
The petition by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) was seen shortly after the advertisement was sent out.
The Law society of Kenya argued that the position was unnecessary and costs the taxpayers money.
LSK further added that the duties under the position could be comfortably handled by the employed Principal Secretaries.
In her ruling, Judge Monica Mbaru suspended the recruitment call until the case was heard and determined; the hearing is scheduled for October 24.
Justice Monica stated,”In the interim, to allow service upon the respondent an order of stay of implementation of the process of establishment of the officer the Chief Administrative Secretary in the Public Service be and is hereby issued.”
