I’m glad Raila is doing his duty, Aukot expressed the way Azimio la Umoja leader, Raila Odinga has been handling his opposition seat.
Ekuro stated,”Jakom Raila Odinga is now back to what he knows best. The government must be put on its toes to account for the expenditure of public funds. It’s time for PunguzaMizigo.”
Ever since Hon. Raila broke silence, he is been keeping check on how president Ruto has been running government.
On Tuesday, Raila, who was by Embakasi MP Babu Owino and Lang’ata MP Felix Odiwour, among other leaders attended Bunge la Wananchi meeting where he lushed out on President William Ruto’s government.
Raila advised Kenyans to remember what they were promised during the campaigns. He added that Kenyans should not be quiet when the government is not being run well.
Raila said,”I listened and encouraged them to remain vigilant of our hard-won constitutional rights. Freedom of association and speech is a key pillar of our democracy.”
The opposition leader went ahead to reprimand the president on doing away with the subsidies.
He defended the former president, Uhuru Kenyatta for his efforts to protect Kenyans.
Hon Raila said,”Every time they were blaming Uhuru, but he was doing what other heads of state were doing worldwide. Uhuru protected Kenyans from the effects of the Russia and Ukraine wars. But now they have said that it is unsustainable, this week the price of fuel will go up again.”
He reminded Kenyans that the government promised to cut the fuel cost but instead, the cosr is over the roof.
He also criticized on the fact that the government has not been able to provide Kenyans with the promised “ hustler fund.”
