Man takes safaricom to court.
Man takes safaricom to court, this comes after 373K was allegedly withdrawn from his account without consent.
According to the man by the name, Abdi Zeila, a sim swap was done on his registered sim card on march 28 without his permission.
Abdi stated a total of Ksh.373,000 was withdrawn from his NCBA Bank account, and other additional amounts withdrawn from his M-Shwari and KCB loan accounts.
He is now suing safaricom telecommunications company, being that his accounts are linked to his registered safaricom line.
Zeila also claimed that this fraud could not be possible unless someone had access to the Safaricom system and solely hacked the subscriber’s personal data.
He decided to move to court because he reported his grievances to safaricom but he was not helped.
Zeila argued,”Safaricom being the provider of roaming services at the time to my number was aware or ought to have been aware that I could not have been in a position to carry out a SIM-swap as I was out of jurisdiction.”
