On thursday 3 November, former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo, former Gatanga MP and Cotu secretary general Francis Atwoli were summoned by EACC over a suspicious Sh200 million land saga in Nairobi.
Murathe maintained that he has never been involved in any illegal transactions, the money was just a debt pay back.
Murathe said,”I’m not involved in what the rest were doing with the county. What I know is Jirongo owed me money and I was paid. Where he got it from is none of my business.”
