Kenya does not need advice from Scotland Yard.
President William Ruto has responded to opposition leader, RailaOdinga’s plea.
Speaking at the Launch of the State of the Judiciary and the Administration of Justice at the Supreme Court, the head of state made it clear that Kenya does not need foreign back up, to investigate the murders of several bigwigs.
Azimio la Umoja leader, Raila Odinga had suggested that Kenya needs foreign detectives to investigate the extra- judicial killings of the likes of Musando.
President Ruto said,”Kenya does not need advice from Scotland Yard to be able to remove and disband the murderous unit from our police force.”
President Ruto added that the only thing the Kenyan investigatory body needs is respect for them to guarantee security.
“We just needed to respect other institutions and do the right thing. Supporting a professional police force will guarantee the security of our forces,” he added.
The commander in chief further stated that his administration is committed to ensure, the authority give the best to its citizens.
He said,”Supporting a professional police force will guarantee the life of every Kenyan, and we will get rid of the menace of extra-judicial killings.”
“We suddenly don’t need the support of institutions built by others, we can build ours,” he maintained.
The president also said that for one to call themselves a partriot, they must respect the decisions of the judiciary.
He said,”If you care about the economy, national security, constitutional rights, you must care about the state of our Judiciary.”
