If Kuria acts as he is hinting, we will hold a demonstration- Kalonzo and Sonko tell off Kuria on Squatters eviction.
Wiper party leader and ex- mombasa gubernatorial seat aspirant, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, warn the trade cabinet secretary on eviction of squatters.
In address an with the Portland’s residents, Mike Sonko maintained that the land belonged to the Former President of Kenya, the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and he is the one who handed it over to the current residents.
Sonko said,”You can remember very well that I brought the current president William Ruto while he was still the serving deputy president.”
“You have the right to be here because even the president is more aware than anyone else. I have not received any message from him saying that you should be evicted,” added.
Supporting Sonko was Wiper party leader who expressed his willingness to fight for the rights of portland residents.
Kalonzo stated,”If Kuria acts as he is hinting, we will hold a peaceful demonstration as you have the right to be here because you already have legal title deeds.”
This comes after the newly approved trade secretary, Moses Kuria hinted at doing away with squatters.
Kuria stated,” I will flatten those structures. If you don’t want me to go my way start leaving the premises as early as tonight.”
“I know you are an irresistible force but in me, you will find an immovable object. I’m promising to send the National Youth Service, who will start working on the idle land. No other piece of land belonging to this company will be grabbed,” he added.
