Senior Principle Magistrate, Victor Wakhumile, in Milimani Law court, made the judgement after the accused person pleaded guilty to soliciting and accepting bribes from citizens who sought appointments at the transport authority.
Apparently, the guard had promised approvals and clearances from the authorising body, including the endorsement of driving licenses to illegible people.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officials and other detectives at the NTSA Upperhill offices caught up with her, when she was trying to receive bribe on october 4.
EACC stated,”It is believed that the security guard was receiving the bribes as a link person between citizens seeking services and NTSA officials.”
The office of director of public prosecutions, ODPP charged her with two counts; soliciting and receiving a bribe.
