2023 global rise challenge, 121B up for grabs; How to apply.
American software engineer, Eric Schmidt and his wife Wendy Schimdt, have called for application in the 2023 global rise challenge.
The global rise challenge, is aimed at finding excellent young minds and mentor them to propel in their field of interest.
However, the rise seeks individuals age 15- 17 years of age and a prize of 121 Billion, will be accorded to the winners.
The statement in the website read,” The program is personalized and flexible, tailored to Global Winners’ needs as they evolve over time. We aim to provide Global Winners with individualized support to empower them to achieve their goals while they work to serve others throughout their lives.”
“Everyone who applies joins a global community of leaders and gains access to free online courses and opportunities from our partners around the world,” the statement added.
Eric Schmidt, is a history making technologist who served as Google’s CEO from 2001 to 2011.
He is known for championing for the company’s rise to a tech mogul in silicon valley.
Wendy Schmidt has also formulate multiple NGOs all over the world.
In 2023, among the 100 Winners who took part in the challenge, 8 were Kenyan students, namely; The winners included Edith Chemutai, James Nyaga Ngatia, Marietta Halima Kazungu, Natasha Njoki Ndai, Wema Wambugo Marandu, Belinta Simiyu, Annette Odhiambo and Lesein Mutunkei.
Application process
Applicants for the 2023 cohort must be of 15 and 17 years of age as of July 1, 2023.
