Serious things are not taken seriously- MP Salasya on Kenyans questioning his credibility.
Mumias east member of parliament, has today addressed that issue of Kenyans calling him a joker.
Speaking on Spice fm, the legislator stated that Kenyans tend to takes serious issues as a joke but as time goes by, Everyone will know how serious he gets.
MP Salasya said,”Kenyans like mushene (gossip). Serious things are not taken seriously but simple things are taken seriously. I think it’s also encouraging to some extent that you have to engage Kenyans to get them busy.”
“Have something to talk about. I am one of the most serious and organised leaders. Shortly, it will be known,” he added.
The newly elected member of parliament has been the most talked about politician. The other day, he urged Kenyans to find him a wife to settle down with.
On matters of development, Salasya stated that he is committed to bring back the lost reign of Mumias sugar company.
He added that his passion to revive Mumias sugar company, was one of the factors that made h run for office.
Hon. Salasya said,” I come from a land where we do a lot of sugarcane farming, but because we did not have true leaders who could stand with that person on the ground, they allowed the cartels to collapse the company without bringing in an alternative.”
He added that Mumias was critical entity in the development of Mumias, in terms of employment creation among other factors.
He stated,”I realized the only way to save Mumias sugar is for you to go through the receivership process, I started campaigning for it. It was put under receivership but as we speak it is on its feet and it’s a source of employment.”
