Kenyans deserve to know everything that transpired On election period even if Cherera 4 resigns- Miguna.
Outspoken Lawyer, Miguna Miguna has opinioned that Kenyans have a right to know what really happened between Cherera 4 and Chebukati 3.
In a social media post, Miguna said it’s high time a light is shed on the matter, because the four commissioners who are not supposed to be affiliated in any political side or party, did the otherwise.
He said,”Kenyans deserve to know everything that transpired before, during and after the August 9, 2022, presidential election.”
He added that the judiciary must probe into the matter because it is a country wide concern.
“We must know who did what, when, with whom and why. This is imperative even if or when the opaque Cherera 4 resign in shame. A Judicial Inquiry is a must,” he added.
Yesterday, one of the four, Justus Nyang’aya resigned from the independent electoral and boundaries commission.
In a long letter, he tendered his resignation to the head of public service, Koskei, who handed it over to the president.
Part of the letter read,”It is with a heavy heart that I tender my resignation as a commissioner of the IEBC effective today.”
“In the last few weeks, I have had serious soul searching and being a man of faith, prayed fervently so that I may have the wisdom to make a decision that is in the best interest of the country.”
