There is nothing wrong with the Constitution- Miguna clashes with the president.
Lawyer Miguna miguna has opposed President Ruto’s proposal of making some amendments to the constitution.
Miguna stated that if the president wants to mutilate the constitution, then he should call for a referendum.
He stated,”If Kenya Kwanza wants to invite their waterloo the way Napoleon did in 1815, let them call a referendum on their attempt to mutilate the Constitution of Kenya. “We dare anyone to try.”
He reminded the president that his coalition drummed up for the rule of law, why is he changing now.
He stated,”That wasn’t the platform on which William Ruto was elected! Thank me later.”
”I will say it for the avoidance of doubt. There is nothing wrong with the Constitution. No defect. No errors. Nothing that requires amendments or mutilations,” Miguna added.
This comes after the law society of kenya president, Theuri also objected president Ruto’s intention of proposing to mutilate the constitution.
