Reactions to the trending ouko murder mystery.
According to reports by NTV, Robert Ouko was killed in cold blood while his colleagues watched.
According to a source, James Khwatenge (Former Special Branch Officer),”Ouko was kneeling down with his leg broken… Biwott was on his left side forcing him to confess while Moi was in front. Biwott pretended to be annoyed… whipped out a pistol and shot him in the head.”
Additionally, James Khwatenge revealed that the first officer at Ouko’s murder scene was inspector Achesa Litabalia who was later followed and killed.
Scotland Yard detectives led by Hohn Troon arrived in the country five days later on February 21 to investigate the horrific murder, taking over from the Kenya police since it was already seen as a government-sanctioned elimination.
All the suspects were released after 14 days except Jonah Anguka who was the only person charged with Ouko’s murder however, the trial ended following the death of justice Fidahussein Abdallah in November 1992 before he could deliver his ruling.
In 1994, a judge acquitted Anguka of all his charges, after this he fled the country. While in exile, he wrote a book titled Ouko murder mysteries implicating Former President Daniel Moi and Biwott for killing Ouko.
