Disquiet as DP Gachagua disagrees with Natembeya over an alternative route to ending banditry.
Yesterday, During the interdenominational church service at Nakuru county, Trans Nzoia county governor commented on the state of banditry in the north.
Being that he is the former Rift valley regional commander, Natembeya stated that the only way for the government to deal with banditry, is to have a talk with the locals and consult with them.
He also stated that the police deployed in that area, are lacking motivation because of the little income they get, they are paid the same as any other officer in the country, in as much as they are out there risking their lives.
The sentiments by Natembeya, seemed to have not sat well with the deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua.
DP Gachagua stated,” We have no time to deploy our police officers on none sense . Governor Natembeya you may not know, you don’t have to worry about president Ruto. Nobody can come between him na wananchi, kama angekaa nje na wananchi hangekaa rais. Huyu rais alikua rais kwa sababu alikaa na raia, hawa raia wa kawaida. Network ya huyu rais wetu na raia iko juu na mbali sana.
”Everyday he engages members of the public. In fact the entire administration of William Ruto is based on engaging the ordinary Kenyan. Therefore you should have no worry that anyone can come between him and wananchi,” he added
Disquiet as DP Gachagua responds to Natembeya emerges;
Patrick tweeted,”Why did Rigathi Gachagua get irked when George Natembeya told Ruto the truth? Something is not adding up here.
Ruto should have learnt a thing or two today. If not, he will never learn. The opportunists will waste his time and later brand him a tribalist the way they did to Moi.”
Juma G wrote,”Gachagua might be having some mental problems, or he is just dumb or something… After Governor Natembeya said the truth about banditry, the man lectured him before the President… Unless the Man is among the shareholders in banditry. Time we called out this mediocrity.”
