Nakuru Level 5 mother and baby wing in the universal health coverage, nears completion.
Yesterday, president William Ruto toured Nakuru level 5 mother and baby wing that is currently nearing completion.
In a statement, president William Ruto stated that this wing will cover and also curb the mortality rate of mothers and children.
He stated that through this, his agenda in the manifesto, Universal health coverage will be fulfilled.
The wing is expected to serve over 3000 people a day, efficiently and meet the health needs of over 10 counties in the country.
The commander in chief stated,”The new, specialised outpatient wing at the Nakuru County Referral and Teaching Hospital will be instrumental in responding efficiently to population health needs, providing continuous availability of services to more than 3,000 people daily.”
”This is line with our focus on the Universal Health Coverage. With Deputy President @rigathi, Governor @susankihika, and other leaders, toured the outpatient wing that will serve more than 10 counties in the region,” he added.
On his part, deputy president Rigathi Gachagua stated that quality health care is essential for a country to grow.
He stated,” Quality healthcare is fundamental for a working Nation. In this regard, this afternoon I joined H.E President William Samoei Ruto for an inspection tour of the ongoing construction of a Mother and Baby Wing at the Nakuru County Referral and Teaching Hospital.”
”Upon completion, the wing will be key in reducing mother and child mortality rates in the county and the surrounding regions,” he added.
