Governor Mwangaza finally gives in, grants Meru MCAs 10M each.
In a press release moments ago at the county assembly buildings, Governor Mwangaza finally gives in and granted the members of county assemblies’ wishes.
She started by thanking the almighty God for the far he has brought her and the leaders in Meru. Mwangaza added that she’s happy, she is finally reunited with her ward leaders.
She stated,”This is the lord’s doing and it is marvellous in our eyes. This is a good day for Meru the bible also says where there is unity God commands a blessing.”
She also thanked president Ruto and his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua for supporting her during the tough times last year.
Governor Mwangaza confirmed that indeed the ward representative had been granted a ward fund of 10 Million each.
She highlighted that the wrangles she had with the members of county assembly are bygone, and people trying to create more chaos, should focus on other issues.
She stated,”Those who were happy because of our wrangles let them find something else to do.”
Meru county boss also promised to work with the ward representatives including consulting with them in matters development.
Her sentiments were supported by the county deputy governor, Mutuma and the speaker, Bundi who showed gratitude to Deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua for the efforts of reuniting the county leaders.
He stated,”Meru leaders can now go to statehouse and lobby for development as a group.”
This comes months after the Meru members of county assembly, filed a petition to impeach the governor. They accused the governor of gross misconduct of Office among other issues.
Her case was heard by the senate , where she was found not guilty of the charges and thereby, still serving as Meru county assembly governor.
