The directorate of criminal investigations, DCI announces changes to the police clearance certificate.
According to the statement , the PCC applicants will no longer be required to book a fingerprint taking date.
DCI stated,”NOTICE TO PCC APPLICANTS
Kindly note that you are no longer required to book a fingerprinting date while applying for the Police Clearance Certificate (formally Good Conduct). This section has been removed from the portal.”
“Applicants are encouraged to visit their convenient fingerprinting centres with their printed C24 copies, payment vouchers and original ID cards,” the statement added.
For all those who will choose the DCI Headquarters along Kiambu Road, are being informed that the fingerprinting facility can be accessed between 7 am and 3pm.
DCI stated,”For those choosing DCI Headquarters as their preferred centre, please note that PCC applicants access the fingerprinting facility between 7.00AM and 3.00PM. After 3pm, only those within, centre are served.
DCI also highlighted that these service can alternatively be accessed at huduma centres all over the country.
The statement read,”To avoid long queues, city dwellers are reminded that this service is equally available at the Huduma Centres.”
Applicants are also advised to keep printed copies for future use, since the certificate remains in the e citizen account for a period of 6 months before it is pulled down
DCI highlighted,”Once generated, your certificate remains on your ecitizen account for a period of 6months after which it is pulled down. Hence, applicants who seek to use the certificate for a longer period are advised to download and keep printed copies to avoid future frustrations.”
