UDA is going to be the biggest party- Malala explains why he has decamped to UDA.
Former Kakamega senator, Cleophas Malala has today announced that he has joined the United Democratic Alliance and left ANC.
In a press release, Malala explained that UDA, headed by president William Ruto, will be the biggest party compared even to the ones started during independence.
He added that anyone who is willing to join UDA is free to do so because the doors to welcome new member is open.
He stated,”UDA is going to be the biggest party since independence. We have sat down with the leaders of this party and agreed that we are going to open up doors for people to come and join our party. We are not going to be hostile to people who think otherwise about us.”
Speaking at the Same press release, was Cheruiyot, who stated he believes that Malala will bring in the new energy that will help them fuel the party forward.
He stated,”I believe Cleophas Malala will bring in new energy and skills and help us achieve and realize our dreams. I believe as a party we are richer tapping into Hassan Omar’s experience and ensuring that we fulfill the dream and the promises that we gave to Kenya.”
On their party, The UDA party stated that Malala will be essential in implementation of the bottom- up agenda.
Secretary General Cleophas Malala pledges to spearhead the implementation of the party’s bottom-up economic transformation agenda. He said he will ensure UDA is an all-inclusive party that accommodates all Kenyans.
Apart from Him Joining the party, major changes have been; Cecily Mbarire was appointed Chairperson, Cleophas Malala Secretary General, and Hassan Omar Treasurer after today’s NEC meeting.
