I will tell you the way forward- Raila changes tactics.
Speaking on Saturday at Kisumu County where he was attending the burial of Luo Council of Elders Chairman Willis Opiyo, Opposition leader, Raila Odinga revealed that he must push for his mass action.
In the past, rallies by the coalition were the responsibility of the top people in the leadership, but for the mass action, responsibility was shifted to Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) county officials.
According to Raila, through this, everyone in the country will take part of the anticipated demonstration against high cost of living.
He however, stated that he will give direction on March 8th when the issued ultimatum on the mass action relapses.
He stated,” In four days, I will tell you the way forward. I will come and tell you the route that we will take.”
“We cannot go to 2027 general elections with the current independent electoral and boundaries commission,” he added.
He added that disputes in court are not truthful, based on his petition thrown out after the election results, that is why he is taking this route.
He stated,”The was a dispute about the outcome of August 9, 2022, general elections and we went to Supreme Court to challenge that.”
“Unfortunately, the courts were not truthful but now we know the truth on how the elections were bungled,” he added.
Supporting him was Wycliffe Oparanya, who stated that whatever route Raila takes, they will follow.
He stated,”I want to assure Raila that we are fully behind him and will go the route he will show us.”
