Former Interior cabinet secretary, Fred Matiang’i back in the country. Him back in the country is hitting the headlines because of the recent summon he had from the directorate of criminal investigations.

According to witnesses, the former cabinet secretary, landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 10:00 pm on Saturday night aboard KLM Flight 0566.
He is expected to present himself to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters on Monday at 11:00 am.
Matiang’i is under probe, because of the alleged raid that happened at his house in Karen on the night of February 8th.
The Senior Superintendent of Police Michael Sang, issued a directive demanding Matiang’i to appear at DCI headquarters on the grounds that the raid could have been staged or false.
However, his lawyer , Danston Omari, claimed that the directorate of criminal investigations, had not used the right route to summon the former cabinet secretary, to their headquarters.
He added that Matiangi’s legal representatives did not receive a statement from the DCI compeling him to appear at the headquarters.
Omari added that if the Directorate of criminal investigations wants to summon Matiang’i, then they should use the legal means or he will not honor their summon.
