Change tact please this one can never buy fear- Senator Cheruiyot urges Raila.
Kericho senator, Aaron Cheruiyot, has spoken after opposition leader, Raila Odinga told his supporters to give him one more week to push the government more.
Raila stated that the anti- Ruto rallies, sit-ins and demonstrations dubbed Movement for Defence of Democracy will officially start on March 20.
He stated that on that day, his people will fight for a legitimate government that does not discriminate anyone.
He stated,” On that day our supporters throughout the country shall stage a massive procession in Nairobi for a legitimate and inclusive government. Save the date.”
“We begin telling Ruto and Gachagua our clear understanding that when we keep taking painkillers long enough, they will cease killing the pain; and that is when the real pain will begin,” he added.
However, Senator Cheruiyot has opined that Raila expected president Ruto to feel intimidated and give in to his demands, like the former president, Uhuru Kenyatta did. He added that Raila is buying time to threaten Ruto into a deal
He although, had bad news for opposition leader, Raila Odinga where he told him that president Ruto is one person who can never be cornered inorder to give in or sign a deal.
He stated,”Basically, RAO is telling his supporters to give him one more week to try and threaten WSR into opening the feeding trough for him as Uhuru did,” Cheruiyot said in a social media post.
“I have sad news for him, the current one takes no prisoners, suffers no fools gladly and can never buy fear. Change tact please,” he added.
Yesterday, a massive protest was highly anticipated, with police erecting roadblocks, all over roads leading to state house. Raila however, changed tune.
“We recognize that only through hardship and sacrifice can our cries be heard and acted on. We will be with you to the bitter end,”’he stated.
