After attending a church service at Jesus Teaching Ministry in Embakasi East Constituency, Raila meets Nyamakima traders.
In his address , Raila recalled the times in the fight for democracy where thousands were killed under the Colonial rule for instance the Lari and Hola massacres.
He reminisced the series of events that led to the fatal stroke that ultimately led to the death of Kenneth Matiba.
Raila urged Kenyans to unite tomorrow in order to fight for the well good of the people. He faulted the head of state, for not taking into account the cries of the traders.
He said this in reference to recent China square, crisis, where Nyamakima traders held a protest to complain of the stiff competition they are receiving from the Chinese.
He stated,”Unaruhusu wageni kukuja hapa kushindana na wao. Kule hawawaruhusu Wakenya kufanya retail, hawking. Hawawezi kukupatia permit.”
