Barely weeks after Diana Chepkemoi was rescued from Saudi Arabia, Another Kenyan reported dead in the gulf.
A family from Kisii county has called on the government to help them ferry the body of their daughter who died in the gulf to pay her the last respect.
The daughter by the name, Naomi Barongo went to work in Saudi Arabia last year and the family reported that she died two months ago under undefined circumstances.
Speaking to the media, Barongo’s husband said that the last time he spoke with the wife, she compained that she was being overworked in an empty stomach.
The husband said,”She told me that she did a lot of work but with little food. She could work from morning until midnight. She also complained that her legs and hands had swollen.”
The family is pleading with the government to intervene since they sent documents regarding her death to the ministry of foreign affairs but they have not received any response.

Cases of Kenyan workers being mistreated in the gulf have become rampant.
The government through the ministry of labour stated that Kenyans interested in job at the gulf, should seek the opportunities through accredited agencies.
