Speaking to the press, Bipartisan talks Committee’s co-chairman, Otiende Amollo highlighted that they have stopped the talks because of reluctancy from Kenya kwanza.
Otiende Omollo outlined that Kenya Kwanza representative failed to cosign a letter which was aimed at stopping the reconstitution of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC).

“In the circumstances, it is our considered opinion that the appropriate action is to adjourn the talks sine die, accordance with Clause 36 of the Framework Agreement, which we hereby invoke.”
This comes after Azimio la umoja addressed two letters to the Kenya Kwanza team for action. The Azimio members of parliament gave Kenya Kwanza team until Tuesday, May 30 midnight to act on the letters or they will postpone the bipartisan talks.
An ultimatum that was responded by the United Democratic Alliance Movement, Secretary General, Cleophas Malala while in an interview at TV 47.
Malala highlighted that never will president Ruto bow to any kind of Intimidation from the opposition, while he’s trying to work for Kenyans.
Malala stated,”Kenya Kwanza is the government, and Azimio should give us space to work on our promises to the people for the next five years.”
“If we do not perform, they have a democratic right to try to unseat us in the next election. But we cannot have the government run by the opposition,” he added.
