Butere boys closed down indefinitely; Details.
Another school in Western, Butere boys closed down indefinitely. This comes after Mukumu girls was also shut down because of an outbreak.
The Butere boys school administration explained that the students exhibited cholera-like symptoms such as vomiting hence causing the close down.
Parents and guardians have been called upon to attend to the needs of the students at various hospitals. Whiile others have been urged to pick up their children from the institution located in Kakamega County.
Measures and prevention routines have been put in place by the ministry of health in Kakamega to help curb the spread.
Kakamega County residents have also been advised to stay on high alert for a possible cholera outbreak in order to avoid more casualties.
This comes after the sacred heart Mukumu Girls High School students got sick after diarrhea outbreak, which saw 124 of them hospitalised and claimed 2 lives.
